At least i'm free before the next project, which is supposed to be Christmas Celebration. I'm back from the 6 days HK Trip and 3 days 3 nights Children Camp. One thing, too many stuffs to pack and tidy up. arghh.

Okay, Hong Kong Trip i try to update in every event or place i went. The main function we went to HK was the OSEAL Forum which actually held the 1st ever Leo Conference for OSEAL.

We paid for the registration fee. It was grand and succesfully held, i think. We went for only a few forum's events so i dont really know about it. =)

Thousands of LIONS & LEOS proceeded to HK Disneyland after the Opening Ceremony. I was told that only LIONS & LEOS in Disneyland for that day. But went there got so many outsiders. Boo... Anyway, the entrance fee is included in the registration fee.

Arghh, im lazy to write more. Just to say that the trip was diferrent from my past trip to other place. Attending the forum, meeting new friends, travelling, trying new food, staying at the campsite, enjoying part of the HK lifestyle... and of course missing flight. woohooo... Okay, i try to tell more in the next post larh.

Final Exam's Aftermath

Been not updating for ages. Yes, i think a lot might wonder how's my life going on. Okay, here it goes, i ponteng-ed almost everyday after my final exam, stayed at home, watched some series and movies from my sis notebook.
My last week of school was just fabulous, though i went for just one and a half day. Gambling was the hottest trend in my school, i didnt join them as i has no interest in gambling. Returned the books, and i dare to say my books are one of the few in best condition since they borrowed us in the start of the year. I only touched history and add maths'. XD
I did play a game of badminton during that week with my classmates. Argh, badminton just not my game, so i just went back to school with ZF to judge the afternoon session's interclass handball competition. Thats far better. =)

2008 Year End Holiday

First Week.

My holidays kicked off with a superb weekend. 8.00am sharp, we went to SJK (c) Kheng Tian for the preparation of our upcoming Heath Screening Project with CDK in December. Flyers distribution, hung up posters, banners.... We went straight to Mcd's for Anni's meeting. Was late, so i just passed them wat to discuss n i rushed to my dentist appointment. Afternoon went to gurney to check out cam for my sis. Night we whole family went for a dinner and sent sis to airport. Off she went, Orlando. Then, they dropped me at Queens to meet up A5 guys.

Damn saturday night, no place to sleep, went Friday's to watch my lovely Man U. Then walked around, ppl started to come for the Penang Bridge International Run. Kapitan (that weird mamak high class restaurant who spilled my friend's drink during my last TWO visits. Kapitan Boleh!!) was lucky to earn my $$ for so many times that night. &*$%@##$!!!!
I went for the so called 25KM half marathon. Hello, go and back of the bridge already around 26 larh tolong, and you started off at queens you know. 3am prepared, lengang here and there, 4.30 kicked off. I was happy with my performance till the end of the toll in the mainland. I ran 98% until there. WTH, ppl all stopped by there to pee at the roadside, during the marathon. Reached queens at 7something, and slept there. Then back home, slept whole day.
Monday started my one week date with Alvin. We were together everyday until our sat night's Anni. Went prangin, gurney, queens this week. No doubt, was with Alvin all the time. ahahaha. lol.
Yes, i was disappointed with them for not helping out in this anni. Only 4 ppl doing job. And thats why we failed our anni celebration, with some commenting it as the worst dinner they'd ever attend. I've been thinking of that problem, I know what I'm doing, I'm trying my best to bring back the club okay.
For those who know nothing about our anni, we brought St. Joseph kids to Butterfly Farm, we raised 1k for the autistic children and we celebrated club's birthday in a dinner.

Second week.

Wanted to tidy up my room, but failed. Cous n family came for this week, at least i wont be that bored.
Almost at home most of the time, texting and fooling with my cousins.
Went snake temple with them. Wow, the first time in my 16 years i went there, and they are undergoing renovation. damn. By the way, there were two snakes on the tree though. *Lucky i wasn't get bitten by snakes. woohoo.
Sunday morning went to a walkathon with my parents at Air Itam Dam there, cous went back. Afternoon went to mainland to makan at aunt's place.
Arghhh, i wasted my whole week doing nothing basically.

Third week.

Packed my stuff for my trip.
And pity me, no ppl at home these few days and i got nothing to eat. XD
So im flying tonight.

They did a great job, even i just replied them once, they kept on updating us about the Leo Conference. Good job, guys. (So you guys know where i'm going)

Yesterday was CLHS Graduation Day, so we forth formers were entitled to a day off from school!! weee~~~ I browsed through my photos and i found that i got a lot of photos i never see before. Or maybe i just forgot already. Gosh, some are weird, some are funny.

Believe me i can fly, Hock Sheng.

I know it's been quite a time since i updated this blog. But hey, not only me right, all form 4 bloggers slow down their posts, thats why it's so boring surfing blogs these days. I seldom update. I got a super good alasan okay, TEE JIN IS HAVING HIS FINALS!!!! (arh as if lorh)

Trust me, you may go crazy sometimes when you take over a super busy club, especially for me being so inexperience. Anyhow, i may start to work out to upgrade, or i can say reform the Leo Club of Chung Ling High School next friday. By the way, tonnes of reports yet to submit, letters yet to send to other clubs, and lots of calls to fellow Lions waiting for me to do before i start a change for the club.

Greenlane's Mcdonald

I went to Greenlane's Mcdonald on the last day of the PMR Examination. Just as last year, they finished their Geography paper around 9something, then woooaaaCrazy they went. A schooling Friday, A working day, let's see how the day was.

8.00am - I reached Penang largest Mcdonald. Not many people. A few working adults stopped by to have breakfast then went to work in a rush. Retirees came in sports suit. I supposed they have just finished their tai-chi session.

9.00am - I had my breakfast, along with Arron and Jiunn. Early morning meetings could be seen too. Few CLHS F3 guys came, marking the end of the 08' PMR.

10.00am - School uniforms could be seen, more and more. CLHS, PFS, PCGHS, GSS, HENG EE, CHUNG HWA..... later on, This big restaurant turned into a school. Hundreds of students. Around 40-50 PFS guys came together, straight went upstairs. Weird.

11.00am - We moved outside as its too noisy in the restaurant. WTH!!! PFS guys ponteng-ed here and sat all around us. Smoking, gambling, vulgaring.... without even ordering a SUNDAE CONE!!!! terrible.

12.00noon - Malays seen flirting around with girls. Indians and some malays seen smoking and gambling. Chineses (Me! Me! Me!) seen looking at their SUCCESS Biology and Form 4 SEj Textbook. *All of them are students.* Every outsiders who walked pass had wierd looking at us. No choice, terrible Education System. Students all ponteng, except those Form3s.

1.00pm - Few of my friends get frustrated as it's really noisy and they're like so so uneducated. I put on Nicholas's iTouch to listen some musics instead of listening those XXXX words. TIAN came to meet us, while being fooled by Anthony. haha

2.00pm - Just when i was thinking that us ChungLing boys were better than them, i saw few of my schoomates far opposite Mcdonald. Yes, them! They've finished school. They came for a lunch?? I don't think so. TIAN was still doing Add Maths beside me (As if!!!)

3.00pm - Answers revealed. They came to gamble. They came to meet up with girls. Ohh, Chung Ling boys!!! Not feeling to study anymore, went upstairs to see how fun were they. TIAN and i went to the playground as well.

4.00pm - Cannot tahan already, went home. I'm relieved i still got only one year left in Malaysia's Education System.

This should be my most serious time with TIAN. I cant really find a serious time with him.

By the way, i just found that i went on a date with Arron the day before this.

I had breakfast, lunch and dinner with him. We spent practically 13hours together. Happy, Arron? muahahaaa.

He taught me something lately, he really concentrate during study. Great.

SONY ALPHA is Conquering!!

I'm sure those who follow the cameras' news knew about the latest release of DSLR by SONY ALPHA. It's the first pro DSLR for Alpha, A900!!!

Drop the thoughts that Sony's camera is pricey, Sony T's version maybe expensive but not Sony Alpha. This full frame DSLR currently stands at RM9,999 (retail price), a little cheaper compare to other brands at the pro level of DSLR.

I'm not going to elaborate about the features or the pros and cons of A900 as i'm yet to touch it myself personally. Get here, if you're interested in this cam.

Personally im a Sony Alpha user. Many suggested not to get a Sony's DSLR, instead go for the stable and well-known Nikon's and Canon's. I would say just go for anything that suits you most. Every cam's has its pros and cons, you dont compare Nikon D40 with Alpha 700, you dont compare Canon 40D with Alpha 300.

I asked a lot of people why dont they go for Sony Alpha. ''They are newbie only larh, so few models only, and not many ppl tried it'' , ''yes, the body is okay, its cheap, but you'll regret as the Sony lenses and accessories are bloody expensive'' Basically i got these two answers.

Okay. Let me clear you guys wrong perceptions towards SONY ALPHA, and why you should go for SONY ALPHA from now on.

Sony Alpha's DSLR system has history of decades as Sony took over Minolta's DSLR division. Not a newbie okay.
Sony is a major image sensor (both CCD and CMOS) manufacturer for DSLR. Do take note that they produce image sensors for Nikon DSLR system (ie: Nikon D40x, D80 and D200 are using Sony CCD sensor which are also used in Sony A100, A200 and A300..... D300's CMOS sensor is the same sensor as A700).
Sony Alpha cameras are some of the cheapest in the market. Not only that, they also offer more functions compare to competitors.
Along with the release of Alpha900, Sony announced a substantial price cut for almost the entire range of standard and G lenses. *High up to all Alpha owners!!*

Now with cheaper lenses and with the oh-its-so-affordable DSLRs available from Sony Alpha, why dont you try them??

*This post is not for advertising purposes but to tell people to consider Sony Alpha if you're getting a camera, and dont tell me Sony has no experience in DSLR, Sony lenses so expensive ANYMORE!!! YOU'RE OUTDATED IF YOU DO SO.

Run, Run, Run.

It supposed to be a nice morning and me enjoying myself on my bed, ignoring the fact that i'm having the final exams just in a week time. I slept for two hours and got up at 5something to prepare for the City Run 08'.

Our Sports Teacher wanted us to go for this run. It should be my forth athletic event of the year, after the school-level 8km marathon, school-level Penang Hill Hike, and the Walk for Life, organised by Tesco Malaysia. (I seriously not interested in athletics. Other sports please!!!)

As the title said, City Run. It has around 2,500 of participants while 30something of it were us, 4SA5 boys. The marathon started off at Prangin Mall, with us 4SA5 boys shouting towards our CAT CM, and he actually waved us back!!

The run wasn't as far as we've expected, although it stated that it's 10km. Or maybe we were way too talkative troughout the run, speaking to almost everyone, greeting ppl a good morning even the polices and other participants. Basically, the run went around like this, Prangin Mall-Penang Road-Jln Sultan Ahmad Shah-Jln Cantoment-CRC-Jln Macalister-Prangin Mall. Erh, something like that lar.

The best part of the event was not the run. You can see the photo above, so many people sitting there just for one dream,to bring home the grand prize of the lucky draw, a motorcycle EX5 (I got no idea what model is it as i know nothing about motorcycle.) Whatever speech, prize giving ceremony... No people has interest on that except for that motorcycle. Yeah, that's the typical attitude of Penangites. Everyone stood up and walked away just the second Emcee announced the lucky numbers after knowing that they were not the lucky ones. NOT EVEN A SINGLE ONE BOTHERS TO SEE WHO WON THAT GRAND PRIZE!!! Cheers, Penang kias.

By the way, i'm going to another three events after the exams.

Another city run, around Pulau Tikus this time, 9th of November 08. Jom lari!!

Penang Bridge International Marathon, the best ever marathon to be held in Penang. I'm going for just half-marathon (25km) as im ineligible for the full one. The registration time is 3am, so a movie at GSC, Queensbay Mall before the run perhaps? Anyone??

Lastly will be the famous one, the Penang Starwalk 08'. Another great event to spend time together with friends or family. Walk around, talk around, and bring home some prizes. That's nice. 14th Dec 08' for this event.

So everyone, do tell me if you're going for any of the above events, let's have fun there!!!

DO YOU KNOW??? Leo Club of Chung Ling High School actually won the award once during 2005-2006, under the guidance of PP Teoh Shaw Jhee. And i can still remember the moments when we swept all the TOP Awards during the 33rd Leo Forum held in Johor.

Competing against Leo Clubs in 130++ Countries is never easy. 140,000 Leos around, thousands of Leo Clubs around. And that's like only 30 places available.

SO when are we going to grab this award again??Next year perhaps?? LOL.

By the way, a lot of ppl always ask me, What are Leo Clubs? Leo Clubs do what? I really don't know how to answer these. 'erh, we're a non-profit charity organisation.' 'we serve the community,we visit the orphanages and old folks often.' Simply, that's my lame answers.

Anyway, i do heard of others explaining Leo Clubs or telling ppl about Leo Clubs. 'Leo Club arh?? that what what Lions one lorh, rich ppl join eh' 'join leo club is to know more girls only larh' 'Leo Club cannot join one, a lot of activities also need money' .... etc.

And at last, i get the best way to answer this question.

Within 500 Days, I'll Graduate!!!!

We took our Graduation Magazine Committees' photos these few days. I wonder how fast the time flies. From the very first moment that i got to know i can enter this school, till today that we are now preparing the Graduation Magazine for our form. Gosh.

Seriously, it's really not nice to do these kinda things. You work hard for years just to get everyone a book of memories. (Guess what? We actually started to choose the committees when we're in Form 3!! LMAO) You can always see the committees places at class is empty as they're not around just to MAKE SURE YOU WONT CRITIZE THE MAGAZINE SO BADLY once you get the magazine. (Im sure there's critism for the magazine.) And i bet more than 50% of the ppl dont even know who else working behind this magazine.

Our teacher advisor decided to use a big team for our magazine. That's why you can see, two presidents, two secretaries and two treasurers. And all the other working team also double up their members.

And we got a tradition in CLHS. The magazine is backboned by the Board of Monitors. All the six high posts were held by monitors. Cheers BOM. haha (Of course, im part of BOM!!)

One night at Chili's

Yeah, i know its late, Lol. I went there with the Leo Gang last Thurs. The main purpose was to meet up with our past president of CLHS Leo Club, Mr Vincent Khor. The future doctor was going back to India to continue his Medicine Course the next day, and the next say was his birthday!!! OF course, there's another birthday girl around, miss treasurer of the Leo CLub of CDK, Li Fei. So, i can say that's actually like a mini sister clubs' fellowship dinner.

Again, Chung Ling Leos were there to kacau. We only ordered the food after fooling around for like one hour ++. We got a big number of ppl, we joined up three tables and another three together. P/S: I was damn hungry at that time as i've just finished my tuition class. But, play is important too what. xD
I decided to share my meal with R.Zhi, and Nicholas, so we just ordered three dishes and we could taste three different delicacies. Wat so bad was, after ordering, i only found that Alvin and C.Yang didnt order any food, and they're going to share with us!! Argh. I was super hungry okay.

I think Him Keat bought the cake.So we just sang and wished our dear Vincent the best for his future and Li Fei too. By the way, Vincent was the first president from the Leo Club of CLHS to win the Top President award at District 308 B2. He took our club to another level. Superb job from him. He is now in Leo CLub of Png (City).

Stepped into the land of 4SA5 after a week of holidays. (Yeah, you can get 9 days of holidays eventhough the Raya Celebration was just 2 days, I LOVE YOU, MALAYSIA!!) Not really at class today, as today is the photo-shooting day for the 09' Graduation Magazine Committees. Fast?? haha. We actually took our individual graduation photo (for form4s!!) few months ago, i bet our school is one the earliest to do that.

I dont think you can see 4SA5 students sitting properly on their sits or their own places except two periods, Moral and History. Other than that?? hahhahaha.

As our Maths Teacher said, ''Over here is just like the kindy or the children daycare centre. You can see a lot of boys sitting on the floor!! See!! (Pointing towards the 'children'). ''

Physics lesson!!

Physics lesson is always my favourite lesson, especially with such a lovely teacher. haha. After talking with the Graduation Magazine guys, i went back into the class and said to her, ''Hey, selamat hari raya!!'' She was like, huh?? Seconds later, she wished me back, ''Oh, happy deepavali!!''

Sometimes you cant stop some creative students in Chung Ling High School. Just like my seniors endless enthusiasm towards music, they created the oh-so-famous Chung Ling Rap Anthems few years ago. And now, you can see some really creative artists at my class. I wonder siapa dia!!! haha. My class tables were almost clean during the start of the year, now around 40% tables are dedicated for the artist to improve on his talent. haiz.

By the way, i dunno who did this?!! An umbrella included?? Gosh, another artistic sculpture in my class. LMAO.

2007' CLHS Young Enterprise

Time flies. I first know about the YE Programme when i was in Form 2, as they were selling the leftovers at school canteen. So i joined YE when i went to Form 3 (Only Form 3s & 4s are eligible to join CLHS YE). Suffice to say, I was one of last year's CLHS YE's team members. Our enterprise was named Blitzcrieg Enterprise, a German word i supposed. I applied for the Asst Finance Director post as i was quite interested in financial stuff. And yeah, i was appointed!! Lol

Our dearly Managing Director is the Chung Ling genius, Mr Hobart.
(Ahem, i'm now wearing the name tag he's wearing in this pic okay. XD)

I can still remember clearly. All meetings held were serious and followed the proper agenda. Meeting minutes were given to everyone, Formal reports from every departments, Discussions.... It's quite unusual for me as it's really hard to see these in this kinda boys' school. And i would say our Pn Aliza gave one of the biggest contributions to this. xD (And she ran away after taking our Annual Report and some $$$, OMG!!!)

Come on, Work!! Work!! Work!!

The production session was late and we were so so relieved as we're just in time to finish the products for the Annual Sales Fair. In fact, we are one of the latest enterprise to start our production. ( It's the same this year!! haha) We didnt have a big team last year, and most of us were unwilling to give out ideas or to think of some products. Thus, we managed to produce just four products. (3 for the YE Sales Fair, 1 for the Teachers' Day Presents)

Our factory was one of the classroom in a CLHS 1960's old building. And we got to share half of the room with the Muslims, to perform their prayers. Kesian, kan? Sudak tak ada tempat masih mau share lagi. Tak pah la, kita semua anak Malaysia. Share share la!! hahaha. The room was rather messy and dirty as we didn't even have time to clean up the room!! But the condition was still far better than this year's. haha. Oh ya, and i found a cat hiding in the cupboard!!!!

For those who know nothing about YE, our main purpose through out the programme is to promote and sell our selfmade products during the Sales Fair. 07' YE Annual Sales Fair was held at Queensday Mall, 06' and 05' were held at Prangin Mall while 04' and 03' were at Gurney Plaza. (if im not mistaken) All the participating companies were given a booth, where we set up our own stall.

Unlike this year, we got to decorate nicely for the stall. And there's an award for the best decorated stall. We put up a banner and decorated a little.

Our Sales Director planned a few stuffs for this big event to attract more customers. We got the Happy Hour session, which sells our products at a discounted price and also the Lucky Draw. Personally, i opposed the idea of Lucky Draw, as i felt that it was just a waste of money and would not attract much customers. PFS too had lucky draw session, but i think both were just a failure. hhahaa. I didn't see these two ideas in 08' Annual Sales Fair, except the Union girls, who had the Happy Hour Session.

By the way, i remembere when i was promoting about the Lucky Draw so hard to a customer last year, she was like, Oh, okay. When i told her that she was eligible for the Lucky Draw, she said to me, ''erh you draw for me then.'' Yeah, i got her a few highlighters and pens. And she told me, ''Wow, okay erm, give you larh, see you serve me for so long already.''

The two days were a different look for the Queensbay Mall as you could see a lot of high schoolers hanging around with their school uniform. That's nice and its common in other countries (but not Malaysia), i found that ppl will stare at you if you are in a mall with your uniform during weekdays. (That's weird okay, aunties and uncles, please. What's wrong with it as we're not ponteng-ing school or wat. Boo!!) But the 08' Penang Leo Joint Installation held at GSC Gurney last month was much nicer because Leos with their club vest could be seen elsewhere around Gurney that day. hahaa

I gained some knowledge and experience in my two YE careers. (Asst Finance Director in 07' Blitzcrieg and Asst Managing Director in 08' Ozio) At last, it's the end for me in Young Enterprise. For those who are not sure about to join YE or not, i would like to tell you that's only Penang and Klang available for this programme in Malaysia!! And it's a programme from the American-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce. Trust me, you will get something totally different from activities in school.

Argh, i miss YE now! XD

Since its holiday, i've been looking through my photos, and i found this!!!

I think most of the people may have read about this as it was in the front page of The Star (Newspaper back in Feb).

I witnessed it personally when i went to Klang Valley during May's holiday. And of course i took this pic. xD. According to The Star, this whole proposal cost him about RM54,000 (which billboard cost him RM40,000, diamond ring RM14,000). Rm40,000 rental should be just one month, and he put it up in February, after three months its still there, i wonder is it still there now??

For those who is in KL, who dont you go and see whether it's still there. It is located along the LDP highway (Damansara-Puchong if im not mistaken).

Lazy day at school, not as what i planned to do. Didnt do any homework. Arghh!! I realised that our just-folo-law Maths teacher got influenced by us already. (Thank you, Tian!!) He knows how to get crazy with students and gives up on those who are not willing to follow his lesson. Gosh!! Went home to sleep in the afternoon since there's no activity for me. Sis came back. Night went to tuition as usual, boring today. haha.

Tomorrow is the School Service Project for the Leo Club of Chung Ling High School (joint project with Action Group). While 2008 CLHS Young Enterprise, Ozio Enterprise will be officially liquidated tomorrow, shareholders are welcomed to witness this event. I might upload our annual report for you guys if possible, but not now. YE Career is going to end soon!! I didnt really learn about business during my two years in this programme, what i learned most is the leadership skills (A lot!!) under my two Managing Directos. Two different characters, two different style of leading, and two different pros & cons. Annual Showcase in the October will be the last activity for me in YE, will it be a good day?? Let's see. haha

P/S: I woke up at last!! after a few ppl talked to me. haha. Dont ask about that. Btw, my dear teacher also wrote about 4SA5 in his blog. Wow.

29th Perak Joint Installation l 24th August 2008

It's exactly one month ago!! Gosh!! Yes, Leo Clubs have to install their BODs in these few months, that's why i've been busy around. From our very own Region 1 (Penang) Joint Installation, till other states as well. I rejected a few invitations as some are too far for my club to go (ex: Johor), while some were having the event during our schooling days.

I attended 29th Perak Joint Installation last month (24th August 08) together with club vice president, Leo Kwang, and past vice president, Leo Teoh. It was held at the Florex Restaurant, the restaurant that hosted our Forum's Banquet Night few months ago.

I pledge of my hand, extended and open, to help those in need. I pledge of my heart, reach for it, and it will be touched......

It was a lunch event. Food served during the installation, so that you can fill up your stomach while enjoying what's going on up the stage.

I went home early (11pm) when the event was still going on. I missed out the Prom King & Prom Night part. Or else i would vote for that fatty red pant guy!!! hahahaaha. It actually recalled me the time during Leo Forum 2008 in Ipoh months ago, the auction part, and the dance session. But still, I prefer the forum's dance session. They got so high and even pushed the tables to the side to dance. And i saw NickChan was there to jump, jump and jump!!! XD
